Sapir Bachar is a jewelry designer living and working between Tel Aviv and New York.
Sapir spent her formative years in New York City working as a textile designer for Proenza Schouler and Calvin Klein. She began exploring new materials in her personal work, drawing inspiration from her levant heritage, and established her jewelry label in 2019.
Sapir creates jewelry that reflects Middle Eastern mysteriousness fused with Western minimalism, creating the new ancient. By reorganizing and abstracting artifacts from different cultures and eras, the collection collapses the distance between familiarity and new.
While working mainly in solid sterling silver, a material used from BC to modernism, the collection experiments with other materials, playing with themes of mysticism and timelessness through the use of gold, semi-precious stones, and leather.
The Sapir Bachar collection is at once subtly seductive, modern, and timeless.
